Job Description Summary

GE Aerospace is offering the opportunity to work with the latest technologies and applications, specializing in aircraft engine design and analysis, in a technology base. Turkiye Technology Center (TTC) in Kartal/İstanbul and Gebze/Kocaeli, is one of GE Aerospace's nine engineering centers throughout the world, supporting aviation-related R&D and innovation projects that expand with new investments.

We are seeking a colleague who is passionate about driving Additive Manufacturing technology initiatives and has a strong inclination towards implementing process improvements and leading technology and product development. In this role, you will be a member of a global team, working on wide variety of additive manufacturing related topics like design for additive, producibility, CAD/CAM, simulation, process monitoring, manufacturing, machine calibration, etc.

For this role, the main working location is Gebze/Kocaeli.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Be a contact point for the customers, and provide guidance and direction

  • Conduct build preparation, simulation and additive manufacturing of parts

  • Execute and supervise design, producibility, manufacturing and technology readiness reviews

  • Create development strategy, lead complex projects, and manage stakeholders, schedule and budget, industrialize outcomes

  • Cooperate with manufacturing, testing and inspection suppliers to meet part requirements

  • Coach and develop engineers on problem solving, project management and technical aspects of work

  • Lead standard work, continuous improvement and problem-solving activities

  • Coach engineers on technical assessments and project management

  • Contribute to machine calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting activities in the lab

  • Contribute to daily lab operations regarding safety, quality, delivery and cost

  • Participate and promote intellectual property related idea generation and development

Requirements:

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in mechanical, materials, aeronautical engineering or other relevant technical background

  • 12+ years or more work experience in relevant scope

  • 4+ year experience on metal additive manufacturing technologies

  • Demonstrated experience in multidisciplinary projects in high-tech environment

  • Design for additive experience is a plus

  • Expertise on CAD programs is a plus

  • Expertise on additive manufacturing simulation is a plus

  • Expertise on in-process monitoring is a plus

  • Metal additive manufacturing machine hands-on experience is a plus

  • Expertise on product or process industrialization is a plus
