Caterpillar has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Finance Analyst Distribution Services where you will be responsible for delivering high quality finance operations support to our Dealers while assisting the development, implementation, and management of a portfolio of financing solutions that drive our Enterprise Strategy. Being responsible for your scope of work, you will receive all the support to be innovative to bring positive change to your work and deliver them at the highest standard.

EAME Distribution’s mission is to deliver superior customer experience, profitable market leadership and service growth through industry - best distribution performance. Our 3 strategic priorities are Service growth, Dealer Excellence and Talent & Culture. As the EAME Finance Team, we provide governance and administration of Cat® dealers across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Eurasia.

JOB PURPOSE:

As the senior person in the team, the incumbent will provide support to leadership in delivering on the team’s goals. The role provides general leadership on all projects within the team while supporting other team members to deliver on their responsibilities.

JOB DUTIES: This position may include some or all the following:

Team Support

  • Work with different teams/ stakeholders to gather and report on information about the Team’s progress on our goals

  • Update team’s dashboard and report to leadership

Financing Solutions

  • Create relationship with Dealers to understand their financing needs

  • Build and maintain relationships with financing partners

  • Lead discussions with financing partners and dealers to develop and implement financing solutions.

  • Provide governance on all financing solutions projects

  • Support all monthly drawdown requirements and the renewal of existing financing solutions

Operational Support

  • Lead operational efficiency efforts within the team including gathering voice of stakeholders and driving improvement ideas

  • Execute prioritized lean projects as assigned

  • Provide governance of all lean initiatives within the team, communicating with senior leaders and other stakeholders on Lean status and highlighting areas requiring support

  • Execute all operational tasks as assigned: Field Follow, RFPs, Extended Payment Terms, etc.

Others

The incumbent will be called upon from time to time to support various projects within the organization

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:

  • Requires a finance, business administration, economics, or accounting degree with a strong preference for a Finance degree.

  • Minimum six (6) years practical experience in banking and other financial services is desired.

  • Basic to intermediate Microsoft office skills, mainly in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Good Presentation skills including verbal and written communication skills are desirable along with the ability to work with a diverse workforce within the company and dealer management.

  • Strong planning and organizing skills: Project leadership skills

Skills and Qualifications Required

  • Finance, business administration, economics, or accounting degree, with a minimum of 6 years’ experience in banking and other financial services.

  • Intermediate Microsoft office skills, mainly in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Extensive knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.

  • Ability to plan and organize resources to be effective and efficient in delivering on their responsibilities: should be able to work well under pressure.

  • Strong attention to details and understands the necessity and value of accuracy: ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.

  • Knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques to ensure clear understanding of what needs to be communicated.

  • A problem solver, who can leverage past knowledge and experience, relevant data and existing resources to appropriately make decisions.

  • Strong understanding of financial market tools and products, and to apply financial market knowledge to various business environments.

  • Ability to work with a diverse workforce within the company and dealer management.

  • Ability to build and maintain good relationships with different stakeholders
