Main Responsibilities:

  • Desings, develop and test middleware software for John Deere vehicle displays using C++.

  • Break down feature sets and estimate work tasks within an Agile team.

  • Diagnose and resolve defects found in our test facilities and in the field.

  • Contribute to innovation projects and suggest new ideas to improve John Deere software infrastructure and products.

What Skills You Need:

  • Systems software programming in C++.

  • Knowledge of machine peripheral protocols, such as CAN.

  • Use of version control systems (i.e. Git).

  • Knowledge of OS APIs, in particular for Linux.

What Makes You Stand Out:

  • Experience developing production software in a distributed team.

  • Knowledge of Linux and performance aware programming is a plus.

  • Knowledge of agricultural machinery and production cycles is a plus.

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Mechatronics, Digital Systems or other related Advanced Engineering Fields.
