Job Title: Truck Assembly Mechanic

Job Description

Join our team as a Truck Equipment Installer! We are searching for skilled individuals to manufacture and install parts typically found on service trucks, such as tool boxes, racks, and more. This role is ideal for those who tinker with cars in their spare time and are eager to develop a professional career in mechanics, welding, and fabrication. As a Truck Assembler, your responsibilities will include installing service bodies, platforms, dumps, van packages, hoists, cranes, and PTOs, following detailed blueprints and electrical diagrams.

Hard Skills

  • Automotive Mechanic experience

  • Mechanical Assembly experience

  • Blueprint specification reading

  • Interpreting electrical wire diagrams

  • Hand and power tool usage

  • MIG Welding (training provided if needed)

Soft Skills

  • Willingness to learn and train

  • Adaptability to varying work hours

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Garner, North Carolina.

Work Environment

The work environment is that of a leading industry company in manufacturing and installing truck equipment. As a long-established, family-owned business, the company offers a dynamic work setting. Note: Shop doors remain open, leading to very hot conditions in the summer and cold in the winter. The regular shift is from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, with occasional 10-hour shifts and some Saturdays.
