Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency, effectiveness, and reliability. This role involves working with electro-mechanic systems, including 3 phase 480V electrical systems, controls ladder logic, and preventive maintenance programs.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair production and facilities equipment to ensure maximum efficiency and reliability.
Diagnose mechanical problems and determine corrective actions using blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs.
Work with production associates and management to resolve production issues and ensure maximum production efficiency.
Observe mechanical devices in operation to identify causes of trouble.
Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment and troubleshoot/repair processing, filling, and packaging production equipment.
Use the SAP Work Order system to initiate purchase orders for parts and machines and document hours worked on applicable work orders.
Fabricate, disassemble, and assemble production equipment to remove defective parts.
Investigate electrical and instrument equipment failures and develop action plans to eliminate repetitive failures.
Install, move, and relocate machinery/equipment according to blueprints and other drawings.
Read and interpret blueprints and equipment manuals.
Weld, perform sheet metal work, and employ basic shop floor skills (lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools).
Essential Skills
Minimum of three years' experience in repair and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment.
Experience with control panels, PLCs, lift systems, conveyor shaft, motor, and bearing replacement.
Technical knowledge in DCS/PLC control systems, high voltage equipment, PLC applications, line drives, process instrumentation, and data acquisition.
Experience with Allen Bradley Control Logix Processors and RSLogix 5000.
Understanding of control system design and network communication interfaces.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair 3 phase 480V electrical systems and controls ladder logic.
Experience with preventive maintenance programs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in the food and beverage manufacturing industry is a plus.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor with customers and co-workers.
Welding and heavy equipment experience.
Ability to perform sheet metal work and employ basic shop floor skills.
Experience with SAP Work Order system.

Work Environment
You will work in a food and beverage manufacturing industry environment that is not climate controlled. The position involves working the 3rd shift from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM. The pay is $33.50 with pay bump to $35/hr after 6 mos.
