General Dynamics Ordnance & Tactical Systems Inventory Parts Coordinator II in Garland, Texas
Supports maintenance activity by coordinating and expediting the flow of material and parts. Coordinate activities in receiving, storing, equipment, material, supplies, merchandise, tools and compiles stock records to stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard.
Receives dollar amounts against invoice received in the Well Fargo notification system based on the established Purchase Order for HQ A/P review and processing.
Responsible for parts reconciliation and tracking of parts movement from the warehouse.
Responsible for inventory control and must know what parts to requisition for maintenance and communicate the request to procurement.
The parts include but not limited to spare parts, tools and anything that is required by the maintenance department.
Work with purchasing to obtain quotes and enter requisitions in the systems. Send RFQ for quoting inventory and specific requests
Manage motors, pumps, cylinders etc for vendor repair and restock. Getting parts for machinery and conferring with maintenance to ensure the right parts are being ordered.
Tool room inventory counts, restocking and distributes stock to support general maintenance needs. Determines methods of storage, identification, and stock location, considering temperature, humidity, height, and weight limits. Marks identifying codes, figures, or letters on articles.
Decisions generally affect own position or specific functional area. Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive and solved by following clear directions and procedures. They are on a recurring basis and are commonly related to daily activities. Decisions are relatively simple, relying on historical data and previous solutions.
High school diploma
1 to 2 years of experience
Inventory control background. Familiar with expediting the flow of material and parts.
Microsoft Office skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, along with capacity to learn other tools and software depending on needs on the production team .
Must be able to learn new ERP software, and CCMs
Must be able to lift in excess of 50lbs
May need to stand for long periods of time
