Robert Half Air & Ocean Import Coordinator in Gardena, California

Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an Air & Ocean Import Coordinator in Gardena, California. This role primarily involves handling 80% ocean import and 20% air import tasks in the logistics industry. You will be stationed in a dynamic workplace where the use of business systems and customer service skills are essential.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate air and ocean imports, with a particular emphasis on air imports due to its complexity and speed.

• Utilize AS400 and other ERP solutions for efficient processing and tracking.

• Handle A-Z bookings with a customer-focused approach.

• Strictly adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure quality and consistency.

• Engage in regular communication with customers and provide exceptional customer service.

• Update and maintain customer records accurately, ensuring all information is up-to-date.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.

• Perform billing functions accurately and timely.

• Collaborate with the import team to streamline operations.

• Pass necessary checks and tests as part of the role. Requirements • Proficiency in business systems is a must for the effective execution of duties.

• Familiarity with the Cargowise system is necessary to navigate the import coordination process.

• Proficient use of CRM software for managing customer interactions is required.

• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning - is necessary for managing and integrating the core business processes.

• Knowledge of ERP Solutions is crucial in order to streamline and integrate operation processes and information flows to maximize efficiencies.

• Familiarity with 'About Time' software is desired for efficient project management.

• Ability to handle billing functions accurately and efficiently is required.

• Excellent communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with clients and team members.

• Outstanding customer service skills are required to maintain and increase customer satisfaction.
