We are dedicated to delivering innovative solutions and exceptional service to our customers. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Downstream Product Manager to join our dynamic team.
Job Summary:
Join Thermo King as a Digital Solutions Product Manager! The Digital Solutions Product Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end management of our telematics and IOT products, from conception through launch and beyond, ensuring their continued market success. This role involves collaboration with marketing, dealers, sales, engineering, and customer support teams to optimize product performance, drive customer satisfaction, and achieve business objectives. It requires a deep understanding of telematics and IOT technologies, market trends, and customer needs, as well as the ability to translate these insights into innovative product solutions.
Responsibilities :
Lead/coordinate efforts to understand and meet customer needs for new products/services or line extensions and make recommendations on the product/service features that need to be developed/included
Define compelling value propositions and underlying product requirements based on market assessment, customer needs discovery sessions, and customer feedback loops
Initiate projects for new or updated products/services or line extensions and prioritize portfolio of projects under development on a regular basis
Manage the product development lifecycle end-to-end to drive commercial, technical, and operational / support readiness across all phases, with special emphasis on product requirements and product launch readiness
Manage the product backlog and oversee planning and execution in coordination with cross-functional teams
Own the business case for product investment opportunities – clearly define the value proposition; partner with Sales, Finance, and Technology to validate revenue projections, cost estimates, and ROI
Lead the execution of the required analyses to determine the recommended prices and pricing policies for new products/services or extensions
Coordinate with the marketing and sales teams to develop and implement a marketing strategy and plan (including targeted programs and promotions) for each new product/service or extension
Coordinate with the sales team to determine the best distribution strategy for each new product/service or line extension.
Lead the launch of new updated products/services or line extensions and ensure that all the volume, profitability and quality targets defined in the respective business cases are met or exceeded
Provide leadership to drive consistency in the New Product Development (NPD) process, VAVE, quality and reliability to meet and exceed customer expectations
Work with external third parties to assess and achieve partnerships opportunities
Travel Required: 10%- 15%
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
5+ years of experience in product management, preferably in a digital or technology-focused role.
Proven track record of successfully launching and managing digital products.
Strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Experience with data analytics tools and techniques to measure product performance and user engagement.
Ability to think strategically and execute tactically, with a strong attention to detail.
Excellent organization skills and flexibility to handle a variety of time-sensitive tasks and projects
Passion for technology and a deep understanding of customer needs and market trends.
Knowledge of the transport refrigeration business and trucking industry preferred, but not required.
