Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in basic science or equivalent and 2 years of related experience or Master's degree in basic science or equivalent and no experience required.
Job Description:
Performs a variety of routine and non-routine research assignments and experiments and assists with lab maintenance responsibilities.
Job Duties:
Primary Functions:
Participant Outreach & Recruitment:
Engages in active identification and recruitment of research participants across various UTMB locations, providers, and departments, including chart. review, direct provider contact, and direct patient contact.
Co-leads development and implementation of effective promotion and publicity for the Research Projects.
Assists in scheduling participants for ongoing research evaluations.
Assists and trains in Data Collection.
Co-leads team meetings, training, and other activities, as required.
Provides accurate and timely reports on recruitment efforts.
Maintains adherence to regulatory standards and shows progress toward performance goals and expectations.
Responsible for regulatory management within special projects.
Other duties as assigned to support the TCMHCC projects.
Other Required functions:
Collaborates with the Project Coordinator to provide additional support in building relationships through presentations, outreach visits, technical assistance, and other duties, as required
Ensures adequate delivery of recruitment information and materials to relevant sources
Completes special projects and other duties as assigned
Trained and certified to assist in comprehensive mental health evaluations, as required
Will have the opportunity to assist in research presentation and manuscript productions, as appropriate
Preferred Qualifications:
Written and Spoken proficiency in Spanish.
Experience in Behavioral Science or research or related field.
Experience working with ethnically/culturally diverse groups.
Function well as part of a team.
Excellent interpersonal skills and willingness/ability to engage openly and effectively with youth.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to deliver prolonged speaking engagements, effective presentations and training seminars for various learner levels.
Ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced environment.
Salary Range:
Commensurate with experience.
