Required Education/ Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in basic science or equivalent and no experience required.

Computer coding/programming
Under the direction of primary investigator, assist chronic stroke study participants with daily exercise training
Data collection and analysis
Maintain records of all exercises performed and data collected
Adheres to internal controls established by the department
Performs related duties as required
Preferred Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related fields (ex. Engineering, bioengineering) from an accredited institution.
Preferred Work Experience
At least two-years’ experience in C++ coding and work experience with individuals with chronic stroke.
Preferred Skills/Competency:
C++ coding skills
Exhibit strong reading skills by accurately following and implementing laboratory protocols.
Excellent organizational skills
Communicate effectively, both verbally and writing
Multitasking skills a plus
Ability to be flexible and able to respond to prioritize changing laboratory demands/tasks
Job Summary:
Research Associate I performs varying standardized laboratory assignments and experiments.
Major Duties/ Critical Tasks:
Under direct supervision, performs standard research assignments involving a series of related operations.
Sets up and conducts standard research experiments following detailed technical instructions.
Prepares biological assays and conducts basic quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Maintains records of all tests performed and data collected.
Assists in the compilation and tabulation of data and provides preliminary analysis.
Assembles, calibrates, operates and makes minor modifications to a variety of laboratory equipment as defined by appropriate guidelines.
Adheres to internal controls established for department.
Performs related duties as required.
