Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Galveston, Texas. The individual will be part of a team that operates in the finance industry, handling vital accounting functions. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, your role will involve managing vendor relationships, processing payments, and maintaining financial records.
Responsibilities:
• Manage vendor relationships and address any inquiries related to payments
• Process invoices and credit memos using accounting software systems
• Accurately code account information for each transaction
• Use Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for various accounting functions
• Handle full cycle accounts payable operations to ensure timely and accurate payment processing
• Maintain and update financial records, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date
• Use ADP - Financial Services for various financial management tasks
• Accrual accounting tasks, including preparing necessary journal entries and reconciliations
• Perform financial auditing to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations
• Utilize Automated Clearing House (ACH) for payment transactions Requirements
• Proficiency in account coding and accounting functions.
• Demonstrated experience with accounting software systems.
• Proficiency in using Concur.
• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning.
• Understanding and experience with Accounts Payable (AP).
• Knowledge of accrual accounting principles.
• Experience in auditing.
• Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions
