Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Galveston, Texas
Description Robert Half has a great opportunity available for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk with an organization that offers an appealing company culture among highly skilled professionals. In this position, you will be required to manage all general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department. You will work closely and report to the Accounting Manager. Matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are integral functions for this position. Located in Galveston, Texas, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / temporary opening.
What you get to do every day
Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed
Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department
Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling
Provide internal and external audit assistance as required
Complete full-cycle A/P
Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis
Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners
Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
Complete special projects on an as-needed basis Requirements - Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Enter Vendor Invoices experience
Deep understanding of Coding Invoices
Data entry experience
Accounts Payable (AP) experience
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
