    Summary:

    The Marketing Assistant will assist in First State Bank’s ongoing marketing efforts to promote the bank’s products, services, and brand. This position involves assisting with campaigns, managing content, and supporting day-to-day marketing operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a creative mindset, and a passion for the financial industry. This role provides a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in marketing within the financial services industry.

    Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling meetings, organizing files and maintaining budgets.

  • Prepare monthly reports on campaign progress, campaign results, and monthly budget tracking.

  • Support in organizing and promoting bank events, including internal and external initiatives.

  • Assist with coordinating Neighbor’s First events by researching dates of local events and coordinating volunteers to staff bank booth.

  • Participate in local community events throughout our various markets.

  • Manage Online Store through Shopify by fulfilling orders in a timely fashion, adding new swag items that are available and keeping inventory updated.

  • Order new promotional items as needed for branches with approval of VP Marketing.

  • Assist Marketing Officer in utilizing First State Bank’s social media content calendar by researching upcoming content topics and template monthly posts.

  • Coordinate with vendors, agencies, and internal teams to ensure campaign deadlines are met.

  • Direct efforts, organization and scheduling of the bank’s financial literacy outreach program to students and the adult/senior adult population.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field preferred.

  • Previous experience in marketing or banking with knowledge of banking products and services preferred.

  • Familiarity with digital marketing and social media platforms preferred.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to organize details and complete projects in a timely manner.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows platform and the entire Office pro Suite.

  • Ability to manage the additional aspects of working independently without constant direct supervision.

  • Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented with good multitasking and organization ability.
