LifeSouth Community Blood Centers Part-time Junior Staff Accountant Clerk in Gainesville, Florida
LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is looking for an enthusiastic, team-oriented, and goal-driven, individual to join the team as apart-time Junior Staff Accounting ClerkinGainesville, FL.This position is responsible for assisting in maintaining financial records and ensuring that financial transactions are accurate and properly recorded in order to aid the Staff Accountant, Controller and CFO in the preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
Perform accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as required by the Controller
Assist with billing
Create manual invoices
Reconcile bank log daily
Record manual and branch deposits
Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly
Reconcile prepaid accounts, including vehicle, building and malpractice insurance
Prepare journal entries by gathering and analyzing information from various sources
Coordinate with accounting team to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data and the general ledger
Assist with AP integrations (medical bills, EE reimbursements, credit card, etc.)
Support quarterly and annual audits by helping to prepare deliverables and meet deadlines
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Valid driver's license. Must also meet and maintain LifeSouth driver's eligibility requirements-The employee must have a valid driver's license to drive their vehicle or a company vehicle to various worksite locations as required by the employer
Basic computer skills
Intermediate MS Office skills
Ability to organize and manage time effectively
One to three years of accounting experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience preferred
