Gainesville Medical Obesity Specialty Clinic is a single-physician private office dedicated to helping individuals achieve their health and weight goals in a caring, non-judgmental environment, using personalized treatment plans and cost-effective programs. As one of our Medical Assistants,youmust be willing to learn about the disease of Obesity and must have experience in a medical office.We are looking for someone comfortable working independently, sensitive to caring for the personal nature of the patient's needs, good listening skills, and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.You will be responsible for scheduling, answering phones and emails, collecting payments, taking vital signs, recording patients' histories, and more. As a cash-based practice, we do not accept insurance for payment. You must be comfortable asking for payment at check-out. Lastly, close attention to detail and a willingness to be vigilant to minimize errors are very desirable.

Job Type:Flex3/4-time (60 hours every 2 weeks)

Salary:$29,250 to $35,000 (based on experience and background)

Schedule:

• Mondays, Wednesdays, andFridays, with 2 Saturdays a month,
• Monday and Wednesday hours 9:30 AM until 7:00 PM
• Friday 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM
• Saturday hours 8:00 AM until 3:00 PM
• You must remain flexible to the needs of the business.

Experience:

• EMR systems: 3 years (Required)
• Vital signs: 3 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• BLS Certification (Preferred)
• Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
