Job Description:

The HR Systems Administrator oversees the daily operation of the SumTotal System learning management system (LMS) (branded as myTraining) and partners with units across UF and members of the dynamic T&OD team to support the creation of exceptional learning materials for faculty and staff. The LMS includes a diverse portfolio of programs, instructor-led and online training courses, certificates, and learning events.

The HR Systems Administrator provides technical support to ensure smooth functioning of the LMS and liaises with partners and departments to add training into the LMS. This position provides tier 2 customer support and proactively identifies processes to improve LMS functionality and better meet customer needs.

Location:UF Main Campus in Gainesville with 1-2 work from home days possible on a case-by-case basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operation of the SumTotal System LMS (a.k.a. myTraining) and the administration of instructor-led and online training. Configure locations and facilities, manage user accounts, build complex learning structures, audiences, and assign training.

  • Interact with internal technical support to ensure automated processes are configured and working properly. Liaise with partners/departments to add training into the LMS and configure to meet their needs.

  • Serve as the Direct Support Contact and liaise with LMS’s vendor. Submit and manage support cases. Manage outages, troubleshoot, and rectify LMS issues.

  • Provide tier 2 support for complex customer support issues (issues that cannot be resolved by frontline customer support).

  • Identify and improve processes to leverage LMS functionality to meet the organization’s training needs. Analyze and investigate ways to enhance LMS functionality.

  • Work collaboratively with the instructional design team to support training partners. Collaborate with HR partners on project implementations.

  • Communicate with customers and partner to explain complicated LMS processes.

  • Self-starter, results oriented, and ability to manage time to achieve milestones and tight implementation deadlines.

Expected Salary:

$60,000 - $70,000, commensurate with experience

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and one year of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Individual should have strong technical skills and effective communication skills. A strong commitment to customer service and continuous improvement with the ability to think critically and problem solve. Be able to work autonomously and effectively collaborate within a team.
