Job Description:
Analysis of spatial transcriptomics data (e.g., 10x Visium). Develop processing pipeline for
integrating immunofluorescence data and spatial transcriptomics.
Validation, QC, and management of next generation sequencing and immunofluorescence data.
Conduct bioinformatic data analyses. Write statistical programming code with R, Python, Java, or
other languages as required by project initiatives.
Assist in enhancing data summary and reporting using various analysis tools. Suggest best
practices and assist project leadership in representing information through data visualization.
Effectively communicate and represent information through data visualization and appropriate
summarization of data to both technical and non-technical faculty, staff, post-docs and students.
Interface with UF HiPerGator and other collaborative platforms for storage and processing of
various types of collected data.
Expected Salary:
Starting salary is between 53,000 - 62,000 per year
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in histology image analysis.
Familiarity with image analysis software and tools (e.g., QuPath, ImageJ, various packages from GitHub).
Basic knowledge of statistics commonly applied in bioinformatic, biostatistical, and biomedical research.
Basic knowledge of biology, immunology, and/or type 1 diabetes.
Expertise in communicating complex data and analyses to lay or academic partners, in project development
and reporting.
Ability to work independently, with initiative, manage time and work with minimal supervision to analyze
problems and take appropriate action to complete projects.
Diverse skills in data management, programming, and statistical methods; experience with Linux, Python
and/or R
