Job Description:
The Audio-Visual Student Technician aids the Warrington College of Business (WCB) AV Team with organizing equipment pending installation/post removal by being involved in the process of developing state-of-the-art AV systems and actively supporting problem resolution of AV systems throughout the college. The candidate must be able to interface with senior-level administrators in a friendly and helpful manner.
Essential functions and average percentage of time to spend on each, are as follows:
50% - Organizing Tools and Equipment
25% - Trouble Shoot AV Systems
25% - Developing AV Systems
Other functions include assisting contracted installers and online training.
Verbal or written instruction will be given for the successful completion of assigned tasks
This is a 10-hour-per-week position, with the following schedule (some flexibility can be applied): Monday and Friday from 12 pm to 4 pm, Wednesday from 1 pm to 3 pm.
Minimum Requirements1. Computer support experience
AV experience
Knowledge of use of general hand tools
Must be able to lift 50lbs and climb a ladder
This position is open to all registered students eligible to work on campus. The candidate must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average.
Expected Salary:$15/Hour
Preferred Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should have at least one of the following:
Associate degree in technical field
Two years of experience in AV
Crestron Certification
