Job Description:
Portal Development and Maintenance. The incumbent in this position is responsible for writing code to maintain the current portal and script the next major version. The portal design must maintain and maximize functionality to a variety of audiences, including internal and external staff, providers, and Early Steps users. Perform updates for Early Steps and related websites, legacy applications, and databases
Build and maintain a complex reporting environment spanning all the administrative units within Early Steps. The incumbent is expected to be familiar with the latest concepts in Business Intelligence and will be expected to assist with developing new and innovative approaches to examining and reporting data.
Work with staff members to assist in the development and implementation of new technology to satisfy contract and grant requirements. Perform updates for Early Steps and related websites, legacy applications, and databases.
Perform ongoing security reviews of internal systems. Document review process and findings for internal and external stakeholders. Report any security related issues to Pediatrics Information Security Manager.
Develop Business Intelligence, data mining, data analysis, and reporting processes. Responsible for ensuring reporting requirements and submission timelines are met.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Expected Salary:
$73,500 - $78,280 annually
Minimum Requirements:
Associate’s degree and two years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and four years of relevant experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience and/or certification working with Python and front end web development.
Prior experience programming in Python, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
Proven record with VS Code, Python, ColdFusion, and JavaScript development
Must be able to communicate effectively (to technical and non-technical staff alike) and be a good listener
Project management skills and knowledge of project management practices
Proven experience with IT project management demonstrating the ability to guide/lead a project to successful completion in accordance with an established timeline
Ability to effectively coordinate efforts with customers, team members, and other IT professionals and support staff
Business process management experience
Effective written and verbal communication/presentation skills
Knowledge of basic, routine, and advanced relational database concepts and administration and specific experience with current versions of Microsoft SQL Server
Detail-oriented
Desire to constantly learn and improve
Able to work as part of a team
Ability to understand the technical, financial, and political environment in which mission-critical systems are developed. Skill in the use of optimum methods and solutions for success in all three environments.
Ability to autonomously analyze complex problems, identify critical elements and alternatives, and organize existing resources and new information to implement most appropriate solution
Skill and ability sufficient to perform primary design and interface responsibilities for organization-wide systems
Ability to understand the needs of the broader community and the state of industry to design significant integrated solutions, which successfully address the depth and scope requirements of customers
Experience with various operating systems (for example, Windows, OSx, iOS, Android). Experience with internetworking other operating systems.

This is a time limited position.
Normal Working Schedule:
Typically Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm; actual work hours vary due to nature of technology issues and needs. This position is required to be available for Early Steps related to critical technical issues, updates, patches, testing, and maintenance, etc. that occur outside of normally scheduled work hours.
