Essential Job Functions Responsibilities Support sourcing management to develop and maintain an innovation list for short, mid and long term plan for materials, mechanism, electronics and electrical accessories, App and AI ect.
Lead innovation projects cross the global organization. Work closely with PD/Quality to evaluate, apply the new technologies into new design
Manage Cost (total cost) throughout product life (from sketch concept until EOL) by negotiation, bid, cost analysis, VAVE, market benchmarking etc.
Research for innovative ideas and engineer it into prototype, test and finetune the features, functionalities to meet the expectations.
Follow up the advancement of technologies in smart home, electrical automobile, smart mattress, massage chairs industries and transplant mature technologies into upholstery.
Research and interpret product standards, develop testing plan to validate the liability of the innovations, evaluate cost effectiveness, and prove that the innovation can be mass manufactured.
Work with suppliers and stakeholders to manage the timeline aggressively to meet deadline of launch of the innovation projects.
Consolidate innovations and developments from different supplier into the final upholstery factory and manage seamless collaboration between multiple parties.
Market intelligence, and provide regular report refer to the relevant market intelligence refer to commodity or industrial, do best practice benchmark analysis.
Actively involve and support Sourcing and QA to provide solutions for quality issues in market sample development, PPS approval , production, customer feedback and continuous quality improvement to support the speed to market and overall quality performance of the global sourcing organization
Support Mexico factory’s sourcing activities for material and components with supplier set up, quote, sampling, production quality and supplier performance management.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Engineering, Material science, MBA is required
Preferable to have R&D working experience for motion upholstery sofa products.
Fluent English and Chinese in both oral and written is a must.
Proficient in Microsoft office and design software like AutoCAD, Solidworks is required
5+ years in engineering, manufacturing, R&D, technical service support in a manufacturing, sourcing and trading environment, experience in motion upholstery or component supplier is required
Travel up to 50% is required
