Job Overview

PLEASE NOTE: This position can be remote but we would ideally like to find someone within a reasonable commute to Fuquay, North Carolina.

TE Connectivity’s Product Management team is at a pivotal moment of transformation. As we shift from a traditionally short-term focus to a strategy that equally balances long-term success with immediate business needs, the Director of Product Management will play a critical leadership role in guiding this transition. This opportunity presents a unique chance for an experienced leader to make a significant impact.

In this role, you will oversee a $420M global portfolio within the Medium Voltage Underground (MV UG) Solutions sector, leading a diverse, global team through this period of transformation. You will be responsible for aligning a 5-year strategic roadmap with immediate operational priorities, managing all aspects of the product lifecycle, and ensuring global scalability. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving innovation, product development, and business expansion while maintaining focus on immediate P&L goals and sales support.

Key Responsibilities:

Global Talent Management and Leadership

  • Lead and develop a diverse, global team to address both market and local needs.

  • Build a scalable organization, foster a flexible and inclusive work culture, and support team growth through learning and innovation.

  • Ensure talent integration and collaboration in M&A activities.

Strategic Development

  • Drive global product portfolio strategies for scalable, profitable growth.

  • Develop product roadmaps and align them with market trends and customer needs.

  • Translate global insights into actionable business plans with cross-functional alignment.

M&A Partnerships

  • Lead M&A integration, talent absorption, and operational scaling.

  • Develop strategies to enhance market relevance through partnerships and acquisitions.

  • Manage post-merger transitions and assess new opportunities.

Operations Excellence

  • Manage global P&L with a focus on revenue growth and margin improvement.

  • Optimize product lines for competitiveness and efficiency.

  • Ensure Sales & Operations Planning aligns with organizational goals.

Market & Innovation Leadership

  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and customer feedback.

  • Drive innovation in product development, automation, and sustainability.

  • Identify opportunities for business expansion through M&A and partnerships

What your background should look like:

  • 15+ years of experience in product management, strategy, or business development, with proven P&L management.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration, MBA preferred.

  • Consulting experience in a reputable firm a strong differentiator.

  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing global teams, preferably in product management or commercial departments.

  • Strong understanding of the global energy market, with specific knowledge of power generation, distribution, and transmission.

  • Experience managing international teams with a focus on balancing global vs. local market needs.

  • Ability to work remotely with occasional travel (up to 30% globally).

  • Demonstrated success in M&A integration and building scalable teams.

  • Experience in working in cross-functional teams.

COMPENSATION

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $187,400-281,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)

• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
