Description

Clearance:Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance is preferred.
Work Schedule:Fully remote with occasional onsite work at our headquarters in Aberdeen, MD.
Role Overview:
The Contracts Specialist will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of our defense contracts. This position requires a deep understanding of US Department of Defense (DoD) contract administration principles and practices. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to effectively administer, negotiate, and terminate both standard and nonstandard contracts, while adhering to strict company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
Key responsibilities
Contract Lifecycle Management:Overseeing the entire contract lifecycle, from proposal preparation and negotiation to administration and termination.
Risk Management:Conducting thorough risk assessments, developing mitigation strategies, and implementing effective risk management plans.
Customer Relations:Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing their needs proactively.
Compliance:Ensuring strict adherence to federal contracting regulations, bidding procedures, source selection criteria, and procurement laws.
Financial Management:Demonstrating a solid understanding of audit standards, federal cost principles, disclosure statements, and direct/indirect rate development and application.

Knowledge of SCA contracts
Requirements
Education & Certifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, or a related field. Individuals with 5+ years of relevant experience in defense contracting or a related field will also be considered.
Certified Contract Manager (CCM) or Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) is preferred.
Experience Requirements
3+ years of contracts administration experience.
Experience developing Subcontractor agreements.
Experience with US Department of Defense contracts administration.
Understanding of the general role and required interface with DCMA and DCAA.
