Advanced Resources LLC Airport Operational Readiness (AOR) Consultant II in Fullerton, California

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced ORAT Consultant II to join our team supporting the Airport Operational Readiness (AOR) Program. This position will focus on Familiarization, Induction, and Training (FIT) and Operational Trials programs for key capital projects, including the Automated People Mover (APM), Consolidated Rent-A-Car (ConRAC), and the South Maintenance and Storage Facility (MSC). The Consultant will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of training and trials for stakeholders, ensuring readiness and operational success.

Location: Hybrid work environment, with occasional travel to project sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Training Development and Execution

    • Assess operational training needs and create comprehensive training programs for airport operations, maintenance, and other stakeholders.
    • Develop internal training materials for AOR processes and systems.
    • Create and execute orientation and familiarization training programs, including generic facility and system functions as well as individual stakeholder requirements.
    • Review training plans, syllabuses, and instructional materials submitted by contractors, ensuring they align with operational needs.
    • Design and manage Train-the-Trainer programs.
    • Coordinate and schedule training programs, ensuring quality and timely execution.
    • Develop post-training evaluations and performance measurement systems in collaboration with contractors.
    • Support the development of the AOR Plan, including checklists, simulations, trials, and training schedules.
  • Trials Coordination

    • Manage and support the trials program across various capital projects, including trial scripts, matrices, and overall planning.
    • Assist in the project close-out process, focusing on training-related tasks such as final inspections and preparation of punch lists.
    • Prepare reports summarizing training activities, issues, and lessons learned.
    • Monitor contractor performance related to training and operational readiness milestones, taking preventive action as necessary.
  • Project Management and Reporting

    • Review progress and identify potential gaps in training, ensuring that critical milestones are met.
    • Regularly update senior management with reports on the progress of training programs and trials activities.
    • Ensure all training materials and programs comply with contractual and technical requirements.
    • Actively collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment with program objectives and timelines.
Required Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Planning, or a related technical field (Masters degree preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in training in an airport operational setting, with a focus on training programs related to airport systems and operations. Experience in management consulting and execution of training programs is preferred.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as PMP, CCMP, ACMP, APQC, BPMI, IxDA, HFES, or other industry-related credentials are highly preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong project management and training coordination experience.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Proficient in software such as BlueBeam, Adobe Pro, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Office 365.
    • Experience with training technologies and systems such as Citiri, Prolog, Salesforce, and PeopleSoft.
    • Knowledge of industry practices for airport systems, operations, and technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Construction, Planning, or a related field wi h a focus on training and development.
  • Additional Experience: Experience in handling complex airport systems and large-scale infrastructure projects.
