Across our portfolio of live event venues and corporate offices, we are looking for a Network Administrator Senior, at The Broward Convention Center in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the IT Manager, the Network Administrator is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the integrity and functionality of all information systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the maintenance, configuration and reliable operation of the computer systems and network servers. Coordinates and implements software and hardware upgrades. Troubleshoots hardware and software errors, runs diagnostics, documents problems and resolutions.

  • Supports all computing systems, local area, and wide area networks (LAN/WAN), hardware, software, and communication systems. Experience in the administration and support of Cisco’s VOIP Call Manager system.

  • Administers control measures for network security and performs regular backups and data restores as needed. Monitors systems performance and recommends changes; Implements appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery and failover procedures.

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve connectivity and network performance issues; administers network standards, including naming conventions and address protocols.

  • Work with IT Manager to coordinate technical tasks such as server upgrades, maintenance, and infrastructure requirements.

  • Acts as second tier support to Help Desk and Event Support; may serve as a front-line interface to users.

  • Perform other assigned tasks and duties.

    Education and/or Experience

  • An Associates or Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Information Science or a related field. A bachelor's degree is preferred.3 to 5 years of Network or System Administration experience.

    Skills and Abilities

  • CCNA or CCNP certification required.

  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) certifications are a plus.

  • Experience with Cisco routers, switches, wireless controller, and call manager (CUCM).Knowledge of Windows Server 2012-2016, VMware, ESXi, vSphere, Exchange Server, SQL Server, IIS Web Server, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, Azure AD, Microsoft 365.Skilled and technically proficient with multiple firewall solutions, network security and ISP. Knowledge of Routing Protocols and configuration such as EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP Protocol and suites.

  • Proficient with configuring and installing LAN and WLAN equipment, file servers, workstations, print servers and data communications.

  • Experience with preparing clear, concise, and accurate system documentation, reports of work performed, and other written materials.

  • Exercise high-level problem-solving skills and follow-through on assignments.

  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and proven problem-solving skills.

  • Able to effectively follow directives, work with and communicate clearly within a Team dynamic.

  • Work collaboratively and effectively as a project leader and team member.

  • Requires dexterity and ability to use hands and fingers to operate basic tools and equipment.

  • Required to kneel, crawl, bend, crouch, stoop, climb ladders and frequently walk.

  • Involved prolonged periods of walking, standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, or sitting.

    Hours of work and travel requirement

    Must be able to work extended and/or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
