Position Summary

MAG Aerospace is currently bidding on a contract to provide flight training support services for the U.S. Army Special Operations Aviation Command (USASAOC) We are seeking highly qualified Ammunition Accounting Specialist to support USASOAC’s 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (160th SOAR) and the Special Operations Aviation Training Battalion (SOATB).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

• Forecast, request, coordinate draw and turn-in of ammunition in support of SOATB, 160thSOAR(A) and Component Subordinate Units (CSU). The Contractor shall transport ammunition according toinstallation, local, state, and National Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) standards and regulations.

• Manage the SOATB ammunition account in accordance with appropriate regulations, tables, and training requirements. The Contractor shall forecast requisition, receive, store, and issue conventional training ammunition. Ammunition types will include but not be limited to rockets, ATGMs, grenades, antipersonnel mines, small arms ammunition, machine gun and chain gun ammunition. The Contractor shall inspect training ammunition for serviceability.

• Coordinate the movement of training ammunition, handle and transport training ammunition and maintain records for training ammunition. The Contractor shall always ensure 100% ammunition accountability, analyze and determine ammunition compatibility for transportation., determine type and number of vehicles required for transportation. The Contractor shall conduct analysis and determine storage space requirements, determine ammunition rotation schedule to ensure first-in/first-out of ammunition stocks and determine commercial shipment requirements. The Contractor shall coordinate with Battalion Ammunition Section personnel for issue and turn-in of ammunition and residue.

• Coordinate with Army Installation Ammunition Supply Point (ASP) for ammunition issue and turn-in, coordinate with line units for delivery locations and times, coordinate with DPW for blocking and bracing requirements. The Contractor shall inspect vehicles for compliance of transporting explosive, prepare documents required for vehicle inspections and coordinate with garrison Installation Transportation Office (ITO) and other offices for commercial shipments.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of four years experience in military ammunition operations as an Army Ammunition Specialist(Army MOS 89B/ 55B or another military branch equivalent).

• Minimum of two years experience maintaining ammunition accountability records.

• Capable of lifting, moving, and carrying heavying amounts of ammunitions, explosives and theircomponents.

• Possess a commercial driver’s license (CDL) with hazmat endorsement. The requirement for a CDL onlyapplies to individuals performing at Fort Campbell, KY. There is no CDL requirement for the individualperforming at Fort Liberty, NC.

• SECRET Clearance

Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $63750 to $106250 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
