Senior Security Business Management Specialist The Senior Security Business Management Specialist may be an individual contributor or may function as a team leader for a small group responsible for effective business management across the Enterprise Security Department. This is a strategic position that develops strategy to effectively manage the Enterprise Security business needs in partnership with senior leadership and stakeholders. The individual will lead analysis and create approaches for executing strategic initiatives to support the organization's goals including financial management, resource management, business case creation, strategic planning and service management. The individual leads and facilitates team activities to consistently execute the department's operational responsibilities along with new initiatives to improve performance. The Senior Security Business Management Specialist is an effective communicator of actions and insights to varying levels of the organization from individual contributors to executive leaders with the goal of driving positive business outcomes. Position Responsibilities: Core Business & Service Management Functions * Executes effective financial management including planning, forecasting, variance explanation, analysis, and reporting. * Responsible for managing the Enterprise Security department's internal invoice processing and forecast functions. * Assists the department with procurement, supplier & contract requests. * Participates in the creation and management of detailed business cases for a variety of initiatives and projects in Enterprise Security. * Advises and collaborates with senior leadership on people management functions such as resource capacity/demand management, strategic alignment of open positions, tracking our headcount and related staffing metrics, strategizing on future talent and skillset needs. * Drives accountability of Enterprise Security's vendors, suppliers, partners and functional teams by tracking service levels, contractual commitments, KPIs, etc. Strategic Consulting and Collaboration * Collaborate strategically with Enterprise Security leadership and partners across the organization such as Finance, Procurement, HR. * Responsible for meeting with stakeholders to identify opportunities for growth and to improve the effectiveness of our business decisions. * Leads efforts to take cross-functional teams through ideation of best-in-class strategies. * Participate in collaborative and strategic sessions with Enterprise Security leadership to document challenges and opportunities that would then turn into executable plans. * Use experience to identify key teams needed to participate in strategic initiatives that leads to success. Strategic Planning * Responsible for collaborative and dynamic planning efforts that set strategies to achieve Comerica and Enterprise Security's goals. * Responsible for the development of executable plans for various strategic initiatives such as project planning and department goals. * Develop and ensure commitment to repeatable cadence of monthly deliverables to ensure timely prep, review and finalization. Strategic Execution and Governance * Design and develop dashboards, reports and strategies to perform analysis and modeling in support of Enterprise Security's goals and improved performance. * Responsible for ensuring the team identifies and tracks actions aligned to Comerica's Risk Policy. * Responsible for ensuring quality of deliverables meet or exceed risk tolerance. * Lead team in executing various strategic initiatives that span multiple functional areas in Enterprise Security. * Leads the team in identifying insights based on the analysis of data to aid in business decision capability. Mentorship and Education * Educate cross functional Enterprise Security teams department wide on business, financial, and service management best practices. * Direct junior team members so that work is optimized for most effective output. * Mentor junior team members in best practices and identify opportunities to help them develop further. * Drive team to action accountability ensuring commitments are met with high quality. Communication * Creates clear and proactive communications with stakeholders ensuring transparent visibility into status of strategic initiatives. * Formally presents insights to Enterprise Security's Senior Leadership from analysis that drives business decisions. * Communicates with excellence in both written and oral formats the purpose and status of strategic initiatives delivered for the Enterprise Security organization.
