Shift(s) Available: 1st - 2nd

Compensation: $25.10/hr

Principal Accountabilities

  • Performing all aspects of sampling, monitoring, and testing required to maintain compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations governing the wastewater treatment process

  • Performing routine and unscheduled maintenance and repairs on all wastewater and groundwater equipment

  • Performing daily/weekly checks of monitoring equipment (samplers, probes, meters, etc.)

  • Performing general cleaning and housekeeping throughout the Environmental Department’s area of operation

  • Backfilling other positions/tasks as needed

  • Completing daily wastewater lab testing and adjusting control inputs to the aeration system

  • Operating the biogas system

  • Entering data in excel spreadsheets and maintaining records

Required Qualifications

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English

  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

  • Basic Computer skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have high school diploma or GED

  • Have valid Texas driver’s license

  • Good attendance record

  • Work weekends on a rotational schedule

  • Lift a minimum of 40 lbs

  • General working knowledge of basic machinery, preventative maintenance, and repair

  • Work effectively in a team environment and also have the ability to take independent action in a timely manner using good judgement with minimum supervision

  • Successful candidate will be required to take wastewater and water classes and obtain both (Wastewater and Water Operator licenses) within ONE YEAR of employment
