Management Duties

  • Must be able to deal with management at all levels, both internally and externally

  • Assist leading the execution of engineering activities across BGS EASA Mods and ensure all products and services are delivered on time and on budget.

  • Implement and enforce engineering functional excellence in people, processes, tools and practices; driving productivity improvements and sharing best practices and lessons learnt.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

  • Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

  • Manage, develop and motivate employees, including skill, career and talent development across the Project Engineering team.

  • Possess an understanding of engineering best practices, certification techniques, industry standards, principles, theories and concepts.

  • Act as Boeing representative during customer meetings such as ITCM, PDR, CDR and FAI in support of active and up-coming projects

  • Sets and monitors priorities for team members

  • Manages team workload to provide development opportunities

  • Ability to seek and implement process improvements

  • Provide regular feedback to the Senior Engineering Manager on the performance of the team

  • Must act in a professional manner in order to protect and enhance the Company's reputation as a world leader in aviation

Education Requirements

  • A recognized aeronautical or engineering degree, however other internationally recognized aeronautical qualifications will be considered based on technical knowledge and experience

  • Must be fluent in English both written and spoken

Required Skills/Experience

  • A true people partner with a demonstrated track record of growing and building highly effective teams

  • Proven record of delivering complex engineering change programmes on time and on budget

  • Knowledge of aircraft modifications business is highly desirable

  • Knowledge of Boeing engineering systems is highly desirable

  • Knowledge of EASA CS25 requirements applicable to aircraft interiors is highly desirable

  • Knowledge of commercial aircraft interiors is highly desirable

  • Experience working within an EASA Part 21J design organization is highly desirable

  • Translates leadership strategy into actionable objectives and plans. Maintains direction, balancing big-picture concerns with day-to-day issues
