Job Summary

Grande Cheese is now hiring a Maintenance Instrumentation Specialist to provide facility-specific support to operations, engineering and maintenance Associates on Control, Information, and Electrical systems. In this role you will aid our Whey manufacturing with their PLC systems to include training, mentoring, and consultation in Studio 5000, AVEVA, and others. What you need to be considered for the role:

  • 2 Year / Associate Degree in an Electrical or other related technical field required. An equivalent level of experience may be considered.

  • Minimum of five (5) years related Maintenance experience and/or training/schooling required.

  • Must have significant experience with: various brands of PLCs including installations, troubleshooting, and communication networks; design and implementation of Control and Instrumentation Systems based upon PLCs, PCs, pneumatics, and discrete component controls; and pc communications including LANs, industrial operator interfaces, hardware and dedicated devices, and specific software systems.

  • Must have an understanding and a proven working knowledge of electrical, electronic, component control, pneumatic, and hydraulic concepts, installations, and troubleshooting.

  • Working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC.

  • Intermediate pneumatic & hydraulic knowledge (replace and repair; check valves; filter assembly, etc.)

  • Intermediate mechanical knowledge (machine guarding, drive belt installation & alignment, seal replacements, etc.)

  • Demonstrated knowledge of PLC program editing.

  • Advanced electrical concepts (demonstrated knowledge of control wiring, programming and operation of various control panels, transducers, machines, etc.)

  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office and CMMS
