Job Title: Site Warehouse and Logistics Supervisor

Reporting directly to the SVLL Planning and Logistics Leader, you'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our operations and drive continuous improvement. Responsibilities Include:

EHS

  • Ensures safety of themselves, direct reports and guidance for all employees and contractors at the site in strict adherence to compliance of EHS regulations and requirements globally & locally.

  • Ensure all requirements of Momentive’s EHS Management System are in compliance with area of responsibility.

  • Responsible for Safety of not only employees on site, but also all outside carriers, contractors and visitors that may enter the department

  • Build up short term programs based on EHS requirements to meet existing facility and process needs

  • Lead Improvement Processes to eliminate any hazards that may be presented o Demonstrate a high regard for personal safety.

  • Ensure department and site policies and procedures are strictly adhered to o Accountable for 100% completion of annual training for their direct reports

Compliance

  • Ensures all logistics activities at site are in compliance with local law, DOT, IATA, IMDG, HazMat and Momentive Internal Regulations

  • Ensure operation within boundaries of existing permits

  • Ensure proper Documentation for Site (e.g. Permits, MOC Process, BoL)

  • Ensuring compliance with legal requirements and internal company standards for occupational and plant safety as well as environmental and health protection

  • Ensures that the operators are strictly following all applicable policies, procedures, standards including (but not limited to) ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 18001 OHSA(S), business ethics, and other basic compliance requirements.

Operations

  • Logistics Supervision o Responsible for ensuring shipping dock workers execute daily shipping schedule safely and with 0 defects

  • Accountable for EH&S success of direct reports by monitoring for compliance to all policies and procedures and holding employees accountable for their actions.

  • Ensures Raw Materials are delivered to the plant to support their needs in a timely manner o Handle any receiving issues related to damages or incorrect shipments

  • Mitigate issues with paperwork, drivers, or equipment failures within the department related to outside drivers/pickups/ deliveries.

  • Establish and lead initiatives and behaviors that promote and support Momentive’s Safety Expectations

  • Develop Core Competencies and capabilities of the team, ensuring agility amongst team members

  • Conduct regular performance reviews with team members, offering career guidance and providing constructive feedback on positive contributions & areas for improvement

  • Promote team work and agility in order to safely execute the daily schedule o Provide input to develop strategic goals for the site

  • Communicate to stakeholders effectively and timely of any changes in the daily schedule

  • Manage union relationships

  • Flexibility to cover additional shifts when the need arises

  • Ensure work is performed efficiently and cost effectively

  • Lead Tier I meetings and set safety and production expectations for the day’s schedule

  • Attend Tier II meetings and provide feedback from the Tier I meetings.

  • Promote, support and schedule CI events, lead CI events and QIP’s from the operating floor

  • Visible leader on the shop floor Regularly

  • Conduct thorough safety contacts and guide consistent practices amongst employees

  • Set hourly employees to work schedule to assure maximized production from the team

  • Manage vacation schedules, overtime and call ins/offs as needed including hourly timecards

  • Establish and promote a Preventative Maintenance culture amongst the team

  • Mitigate immediate issues that may be safety concerns and/or delays in production o Work with Shift Team Leaders from North/South Ends of the plant and Maintenance team to promote a Single Safety Culture at the site

  • Drive Continuous Improvement in safety and production, this includes floor led QIP’s

  • Conduct initial investigations and follow up on events directly related to equipment or performance

  • Assure proper support is provided for production and maintenance activities including receiving and distribution to production areas

Qualifications:

The following are required for the role

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 5+ years’ experience working in a Supervisory role in Warehouse Logistics or Chemical Manufacturing

  • Experienced in managing quick improvement processes

  • Engaging leader who works to eliminate wasted talent amongst team members · Strong safety consciousness, strong EHS awareness and familiarity with EHS requirements

  • Strong capability in problem solving and analytical skills, including the ability to organize and analyze process data, utilize statistical analysis, and effectively troubleshoot logistics related items to assure safe execution of daily schedule

  • Strong execution skills on to support production team and shipping/receiving ·

  • Demonstrated ability to organize and motivate teams, drive change, and deliver quantifiable improvements

  • Highly motivated and energetic, willing to demonstrate significant ownership in the success of the department

  • Ability to lead/supervise a diverse workforce

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Working knowledge of SAP functional module

  • Strategic thinking ability

  • Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Outlook / Office / Excel/ work etc. – computer basics

  • Knowledge of Inventory Management and Workflow

Preferred Qualifications

  • Successful history of driving KPI's such as Safety, Quality and Production Metrics

  • History of fostering change mentality

What We Offer:Base Pay Range: $65,600.00 - $96,250.00

The actua l salary offered i s determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, skill set s, and geography. Local geographic pay differentials may not be reflected in the above pay range and will be discussed with you by a member of the HR team when applicable . Additionally, this role is eligible for incentive or sales variable compensation payments. The amount of these incentives is based on the terms of the Company's incentive plans, the Company's financial performance, and/or individual employee job performance.
