Fairview Health Services Medical Assistant / LPN Flex Workforce - Fridley Specialty Clinics in Fridley, Minnesota
Overview
Fairview Health Services has an immediate opening for a Medical Assistant in Flex Workforce based out of our Fridley Specialty Clinic! The Flex MA will support multiple specialties, and will travel to other locations. This position is approved for 80 hours every two weeks and is benefit eligible. This MA will be a member of a smaller Flex workforce team that includes employees that regularly travel to multiple clinics to fill open shifts. The expectation is to be available to travel at any time to different locations based on the business needs. The length of the assignment at a location will vary based on need, which includes travel to more than one clinic during the day at a moment’s notice. The nature of travel expectations and the unpredictable schedule expectations provide a clear distinction between flex employees and very predictable schedules the standard MA role. Due to the schedule and working at multiple sites, this position does offer a pay incentive.
Responsibilities Job Description
The Medical Assistant supports quality patient- and family-centered care principles through performing a variety of high standard functions within a care team, supporting the needs of the healthcare team and patients/support network. The MA will collect information and documents to support the patient visit. The MA is essential for promoting cohesion with all members of the health care team, maintaining complete, timely and accurate clinical documentation for each patient, and continually looking for opportunities to improve processes and workflow.
Delivers care as delegated by the authorized practitioner to assigned population, or individual patient.
Prioritizes work based on patients acuity, available resources, patient/support network preferences, provider schedule, in collaboration with other care team members.
Efficiently communicates compliance and concerns to delegating physician/authorized practitioner/RN.
Engage in change to improve the work environment and patient experience
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or LPN
Basic Life Support Certification
Preferred Qualifications
Ambulatory Care Experience
AAMA Certification
