Robert Half Quality Assurance Specialist in Fresno, California

Description We are inviting applications for a Quality Assurance Specialist role in our Fresno, California-based manufacturing unit. This role primarily involves conducting lab tests, documenting results, handling environmental testing, and inspecting raw materials. The successful candidate will also be tasked with promoting Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Laboratory Practices among the team.

Responsibilities:

• Undertake lab tests on raw materials, finished products, and other required items.

• Document the results of all tests conducted and take necessary actions based on the results.

• Conduct environmental testing, which includes taking swabs, air, and water samples.

• Inspect incoming raw materials and notify the Quality Supervisor if anything is out of specification.

• Prepare and submit samples for external lab testing.

• Perform quality checks and verifications on the plant floor.

• Hold any non-conforming ingredients or products and take action when a product does not meet quality or safety standards.

• Conduct glass/hard plastic inspections and submit work orders as necessary.

• Keep lab equipment in clean, working order, calibrate lab equipment, and troubleshoot lab equipment failure.

• Enter data in spreadsheets, create and update documents, and maintain orderly files.

• Maintain a clean, organized lab and order lab supplies as needed.

• Promote Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs), and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) among other employees.

• Assist with plant trials, Quality Control training, audit preparation, and other duties as assigned. Requirements • Minimum of one year experience in a Quality Assurance role within the Manufacturing industry

• Proficiency in using Database systems

• Familiarity with EO/IR systems

• Experience with AB Testing methodologies

• Auditing skills, with a focus on identifying system defects and implementing corrective actions

• Knowledge of Automation techniques and their application in quality assurance processes

• Proficiency in Defect Management, with the ability to track, report, and resolve issues effectively

• Strong Documentation skills, with the ability to create clear and concise reports

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders

• Strong problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to achieving high quality standards

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently when required

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines

• Willingness to stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in quality assurance methodologies and technologies.
