Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Person in this position will be responsible for developing and implementing an internal audit process for all California programs to ensure ongoing compliance and quality control. Additionally, they will be mentoring the QA team, developing, and implementing comprehensive QA strategies, and ensure the highest quality standards are met across all projects. Essential Job Functions include those listed below.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Train, mentor, and guide the QA team, ensuring they have clear objectives and the necessary resources to perform their tasks effectively.

  • Develop and implement an internal audit process to ensure ongoing compliance and quality control.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive QA strategies and testing methodologies aligned with project requirements and organizational goals.

  • Oversee the audits of all active participant files to ensure all files are complete according to WestCare guidelines.

  • Continuously assess and improve QA processes to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and adherence to best practices and standards.

  • Attend staff meetings, training and in-service as assigned by supervisor and/or as required by the agency.

  • Monitor the systems, procedures, and standards of the programs, informing the appropriate party when deviations occur.

  • Develop concise and timely reports, as necessary.

  • Ensure acquisition of necessary and accurate documentation prior to entering information into the data system.

  • Must Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision, and goals of WestCare Foundation; and

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Experience and Competencies:

  • Experience working in quality assurance or similar experience, preferably in a social service setting is preferred.

  • Excellent language and interpersonal skills.

  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Basic computer skills and good documentation skills.

  • Must have the ability to pass a criminal history Adherence to the highest standard of ethical conduct, especially to standards governing confidentiality.

  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

  • Must be culturally/linguistically sensitive to populations served.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain WestCare’s vehicle insurance is required.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain CDCR Clearance.

  • CPR Certification, First Aid Certification, and an annual Tuberculosis test.

  • During your tenure with WestCare there may be new requirements, including, but not limited to vaccinations that are issued by local, State, Federal, and/or Funders that WestCare may have to comply with. Should this occur Human Resources or appropriate personnel will inform you.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience working in quality assurance, or similar experience, preferably in a social service setting is preferred.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college with a degree in Addiction Counseling, Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is preferred.

    LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

  • Not applicable for this position.

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Work is performed primarily in an office setting located in a rehabilitation facility; and

  • Regional travel is required.
