TEKsystems IT Support Specialist in Fresno, California

IT Support Specialist (Mac and PC)

The person filling this role will operate at the front lines of IT. You will rotate between HQ Help Desk, Stand Deployment, and Support. You will assist the team in supporting tier 1 and 2 IT operations. You will work closely with our infrastructure team to ensure the ongoing reliability of technology. This will require the knowledge of desktop operating systems (Mac and PC), basic network operation, point of sales systems (POS), current equipment and technologies, recovery procedures, and system performance. You will be responsible for modeling and acting in accordance with Fresno’s guiding principles and best of all, you will be a part of an awesome family and work with people who love what they do!

● Support positive morale of the team and help ensure a collaborative team

● Be an expert in the operations of the company, thoroughly understanding the role of the various types of technology in use

● Guide the implementation process for technology at new stands, through all of its phases, serving as the point of contact for franchisees, managers, and contractors for the duration of the project

● Regularly strive to equip franchisees, managers, etc. with the perfect tools for their jobs

● Continually research new technology, finding workarounds for nontraditional stores and/or proposing improvements to the standard store set up, as needed

● Company-Owned Stand Deployment

● Serve as (IT) for new stand deployments

● Procure and configure equipment in accordance with current standards

● Maintain inventory of necessary stand equipment; including but not limited to walkie talkies/ headsets/iPads/iPad cases and more. Devices should be monitored to ensure they are ready to go at any given time.

● Maintain inventory of managed iPads in JAMF

● Guide, assist and train Regionals in repairs of specific stand equipment

● Recommend and develop employee training as needed including but not limited to troubleshooting videos and more

● Manage all IT Related Assets as well as update work orders for existing and new stands

● Well versed in JAMF (mobile device management) to create and update profiles for iPads

● Work closely with SONOS Stereo Equipment; being well versed in SONOS as well as maintaining ongoing knowledge of SONOS equipment

● Create and manage user accounts

● Test network performance, remotely, once configured

● Support all company events with necessary technical equipment and set-up on established timelines

● Stand Technology Review/Development

● Test equipment in stands and analyze test data and employee feedback prior to widespread deployment

● Implement cases/mounts that enhance the utility and extend the lives of hardware devices

● Constant communication with franchisees, managers, etc. concerning technology performance

● Partner with Business R&D Team and vendors/manufacturers to create custom solutions as needed

● Maintain organization with IT parts and equipment

● Maintain the cleanliness and fulfillment of all IT Related items as needed; monitoring regularly to prevent failure in devices

● Maintain warranty repairs and track returns

● Respond to incoming requests, during business hours, within 2 hours

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Day to Day duties:

  1. Typically the first step would be to check UP Keep for any new work orders.

  2. Organize all the spreadsheets

  3. Make sure upkeep matches what the stands have

  4. Clean the IT equipment in the stands (bi monthly)

  5. Make sure all IT Parts are correct in upkeep versus actual inventory

  6. Go through and make sure all devices at HQ are good to go to the stands

  7. Warranty or replace all back up items

  8. Organize all parts and equipment better so it's in 1 location easy to find (like a grocery store)

  9. Install Wi-Fi plugs for all devices that need restarting regularly.

  10. Make sure all IT Assets are labeled at the stands and assigned to the correct stand

  11. Go through and make sure all stands get their tech boxes cleaned regularly, that has been a cause for failures in devices. (that's a bi monthly cleaning)

  12. We need someone to go through all the assets for iPads and make sure that the information is correct

  13. Make sure all walkie talkies are in upkeep as assets

  14. With JAMF we would like to have someone learn it in depth to make sure we are maximizing its potential

  15. We also want to be able to have the iPads in JAMF as well as log into a stand Apple ID

  16. Someone to make all the videos for troubleshooting to have the stands/regionals/managers become more independent and when it comes to issues they can let us know what is needed and limit upkeep work orders that aren't necessary (printer issues/ xenial IT issues/ etc.)

  17. Make upkeep work orders and exchanges cleaner and clearer
