Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Provide lead direction and training to subordinate emergency services dispatchers.
Receive and transmit routine and emergency calls for police, fire, and medical services.
Investigate complaints and respond to citizen inquiries, handling complex situations.
Advise callers on police and fire procedures when no emergency response is needed.
Operate the Computer-Assisted Dispatch (CAD) system and related equipment.
Transmit coded messages to police and fire personnel in the field.
Evaluate calls and prepare detailed reports based on information received.
Maintain effective communication and working relationships in a fast-paced environment.
Performs related duties as required.
Duties and schedules may vary by assignment, please inquire about specific duties and schedules if called upon for an interview. Incumbents may be required to work any shift including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

The current vacancy exists in the Police Department.
Immediate and future vacancies will be filled from this eligible list for a period of three (3) months from the date the eligible list is created, with the option of extending that period at the Citys discretion. Should the competitive process be suspended for this recruitment, the eligibility list may be limited to three (3) months.

HOLIDAYS:
Ten (10) City-observed annual holidays plus birthday and two (2) personal days.
SHORT TERM DISABILITY:
Provided through California SDI program.
BILINGUAL PREMIUM:
