Description:
Reporting to the Practice Coordinator, Emergency Room, this position is responsible for direct patient care under the supervision of the nursing staff and functions as an assistant to physicians during procedures.
1. High school diploma or equivalent is required.
2. One year of previous experience in an acute care setting or current EMT certification is required.
3. Ability to anticipate the needs of the patient, RN and physician, excellent customer service skills and the ability to work in a team environment is required.
4. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card is required.
5. CPI training for care of behavioral health/aggressive-combative patients is required within three months of hire into position.
