Job Overview
The Quoting Engineer has primary responsibility for development, execution, tracking and communicating quoting activities for new and existing customers. The Quote Engineer will ensure all projects are correctly quoted, planned, scheduled and executed. As the project moves from the quoting stage to the development stage, the Quoting Engineer will ensure internal technical resources are available and assigned to complete a smooth transition to production.
- Perform all engineering and technical assignments related to the Quoting stage.
- Provide support to Sales, Production, Process Engineering, Quality and Accounting.
- Oversee the Release of designs to the Sales Staff, and the final review process.
- Continuous improvement of product quoting development.
- Generating quotes and purchase requisitions for material and special order components.
- Interaction with Customer via email, phone, and site visits.
- Staying current with all federal code requirements.
- Identify potential and existing problems and provide a solution.
- Closely work with cross functional teams such as Process Engineering, Quality, Production, and Accounting for execution of plans, process improvements and cost savings.

Qualifications and Requirements
· Knowledge of Solidworks.
· Ability to manage multiple quotes, maintain schedules and cost, and interface with Sales.
· CAD/CNC programming experience a plus, specifically SIGMANEST.
· Experience in metal fabrication preferred.
· Must be a strong leader and detail oriented.
· Capable of working in a team environment.
