Loan Servicing I - Fremont, OH (full-time, on-site) -

Job Summary --

Ensures the accurate booking of new loans and managing existing loans in the core loan operations system. Handle administrative duties for existing or new loans, including processing transfer of monies and following the procedures for delinquent loans.

Essential Job Duties --

  • Gather, interpret, and transcribe related files to ensure loan boarding packages are input into the core system according to bank, regulatory and investor guidelines.
    • Documents reviewed may include loan approval forms, appraisals, title work, insurance, and all other requirements necessary to properly perfect our collateral position.
  • Perform Quality Assurance review, and complete complex loan research and maintenance requests in compliance to Bank, regulatory and investor guidelines
  • Prepare payoff quotes and send to the appropriate party according to bank procedures.
  • Process post loan funding, including GL transactions and payments.
  • Prepare and complete PMI cancellation requests.
  • Review daily reports for maintenance changes.
  • Review final mortgage titles according to bank procedures.
  • Customer support pertaining to all areas of loan servicing, including payment research, taxes, and insurance.
  • Work with branch personnel, both verbally and in writing, in problem solving and question resolution to minimize risk to the Bank and ensure customer satisfaction in the loan closing process.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to adapt to changing business needs and deadlines.
  • Develop a proactive internal communication with Loan Servicing Manager to enhance loan servicing and maximize the functionality of the core processing systems.
  • Work in coordination with processing teams to ensure that on-boarding is carried out within the assigned parameters of the bank.
  • Comply with and maintain working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Complete assigned compliance training essential to job function

Requirements --

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • No prior experience required, but prior experience in banking, specifically in Loan Operations area preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Access software and various other software applications
  • Understanding of the loan lifecycle, including new loan booking and servicing.
  • Familiarity with relevant banking regulations (e.g. Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act) and investor guidelines.
  • High level of accuracy in reviewing documents and processing loans to ensure compliance with all requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effectively addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Proficient in verbal and written communication to collaborate with team members and branch personnel.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively within a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to adhering to regulatory requirements and maintaining ethical standards in all tasks.
