Areas | | | of welding include ladder | | | construction, cradles, oil tanks, | | | ladder finishing, turntables, | | | torque boxes, platforms, | | | waterways and HRETs. Steel and/or | | | aluminum welding. | | | | | | ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS | | | | | | All employees are required to | | | support Rosenbauer's Mission, | | | Vision, and Values. The scope | | | and duties of a given position | | | may change or be temporarily | | | altered based on the business | | | needs of Rosenbauer. | | | | | | - Proficient in assigned | | | welding techniques | | | - Perform MIG and/or TIG | | | welding. | | | - Weld components in a flat, | | | vertical, or overhead | | | position | | | - Interpretation of mechanical | | | drawings, including weld | | | requirement symbology | | | - Knowledge of wire and filler | | | materials applications for | | | various steel alloys and | | | aluminum | | | - Working knowledge of | | | fixturing and weld set up | | | parameters (amps, volts, | | | etc.) | | | - Operate oxy/acetylene burning | | | equipment | | | - Able to ignite torches or | | | start power supplies and | | | strike arcs by touching | | | electrodes to metals being | | | welded, completing electrical | | | circuits. | | | - Clamp, hold, tack-weld, | | | heat-bend, grind and/or bolt | | | component parts to obtain | | | required configurations | | | - Operate manual or | | | semi-automatic welding | | | equipment to fuse metal | | | segments, using processes | | | such as gas tungsten arc, gas | | | metal arc, flux covered arc, | | | plasma arc, shielded metal | | | arc, resistance welding and | | | submerged
