Meta Robotics Automation Engineer in Fremont, California
Summary:
Meta is seeking an Automation engineer for Robotics and Autonomous software systems to join our Site Engineering Robotics Team. This person will be responsible for implementing software solutions for the Data Center Robotics and Physical automation program. This is a full-time position.
Required Skills:
Robotics Automation Engineer Responsibilities:
Work as part of the IDC Robotics team to develop industrial robotics and physical automation solutions
Solidify and stabilize core robot functionality, including computer vision, uptime, scaling backend services and network communications
Accountable for defining, scoping, and prototyping through requirements, feature design, code development, and production release
Actively manage issues, risks, and schedule throughout the project and participate in usability test activities
Actively collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize design, ensure functionality, and support software training and documentation
Self-starter, quick learner, results driven, motivated by innovation, takes pride in the quality of deliveries
Minimum Qualifications:

5+ years experience in Python and/or Hack (PHP), with a BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field
Experience to quickly learn new programming languages and frameworks
High levels of creativity and quick problem-solving experience, with a proven track record of achieving significant results
Experience in Full-stack (Back-end and ROS development)
Familiarity with data analysis tools or experience working with data analysts
Experience analyzing problems, identifying constraints and boundaries to develop robust solutions
Experience defining use cases and articulating user requirements to stakeholders
Knowledge and experience using results to drive innovation

Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas: Robotic arms and manipulators ROS or ROS2, Front end development, Linux networking
Experience scaling solutions, demonstrating a mindset of "scalability"
MS or above degrees in Computer Science or related technical field
Knowledge of robotic manufacturing practices and quality systems
Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas: Computer Vision and Imaging (OpenCV) preferably also Machine Learning, Popular software frameworks and systems (React, Thrift, Continuous Integration and Deployment, logging libraries, etc.), Linux and networking
Public Compensation:
$129,000/year to $200,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
