InGenesis Revenue Cycle Analyst (12493) in Fremont, California

InGenesis is seeking a Revenue Cycle Analyst to work with our client. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of the billing department and ensure the timely and accurate processing of third-party bills and reports. Essential Qualifications: • Monitors the daily activities of the billing department to ensure that all encounters are received and processed. • Assists in the preparation of data for UDS and OSHPD reports. May assist with coding corrections for ICD-9, ICD-10, and CPT codes as directed. • Reviews super-bills for eligibility in the practice management system. • Examines the Explanation of Benefits (EOB) to see that they are done properly and timely. • Maintains current knowledge of Medicare and Medi-Cal, self-pay, and private insurance billing requirements, • Compiles reports for audits. • Disseminates information to staff regarding updates, changes, and new developments with policies, procedures, and software updates. • Participates in corporate annual budgeting and business planning process. • Actively participates in the financial department team activities and relays information to staff as instructed by the supervisor. • Coordinates projects and assists staff with process improvement implementation as requested by management. Qualifications: • Associate degree in healthcare administration, business systems, data analytics, statistics, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Four years of general ledger accounting experience including two years of experience in a non-profit accounting department. • Minimum of 2 years of healthcare experience in billing, insurance (Medi-Cal & Medicare) and coding requirements, healthcare practices, monitoring, and compliance. • Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office products including PowerPoint, Excel, Word or equivalent software products, and PC-based, automated accounting/billing systems. Preferred education, experience, training • Bachelor’s degree in a related field • Experience in community healthcare. • FQHC experience. Physical Demands: This position requires: • Sitting, walking, and standing associated with a normal medical/clinical office environment. • Regular bending and stretching; and lifting. • Manual dexterity used to include, but not limited to, standard office equipment, and computer keyboard. • Presenting information in front of a group. • Reading and writing in order to review records for accuracy. • Occasional evening or weekend work may be necessary. This position is dependent on contract award.
