Insight Global Battery Test Equipment Engineer in Fremont, California
Job Description
What youll do
Develop formal test plans and procedures to assemble, instrument test articles, collect data, such that test results are repeatable and consistent.
Support developmental testing activities of energy storage and powertrain systems
Execute test plans with a high attention to detail.
Support the troubleshoot and diagnosis of issues encountered during testing
Tune and maintain the capability of high-voltage battery system cycling test equipment
Maintain test stations, configuration management, calibration log and upgrade them with the latest hardware and software versions
Analyze data and provide reports to Systems and Design engineers
PR: $55 - $60/hr

Skills and Requirements
What youll bring
BSc in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Minimum 5 years Experience working in high voltage battery system testing labs
Experience with test automation and writing test scripts to enable efficient lights-out test campaigns.
Experience with data pipelines, analysis and web-based visualizations
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication and organization skills, with a logical approach to problem solving, good time management and task prioritization.
Preferred
Familiarity with high voltage Lithium-ion battery systems
Familiarity with script writing for automated data capture
Familiarity with battery pack cycle test equipment null
