Stryker's Sports Medicine business is focused on minimally invasive and open approaches to the shoulder, knee, hip, and small joints. As a Project Manager you will be responsible for Sports Medicine's pre-operative planning tools that deliver patient-specific, interactive 3D anatomical representations to assist with clinical decision-making. Our goal is to restore someone's normal lifestyle after an injury, explained in our motto of 'motion regained, life renewed'.

What you will do:

  • You will lead cross-functional projects, focusing on the sustainment of an existing software platform, to bring new features or products to market and ensure they meet the clinical needs and quality expectations of our customers.

  • You will manage the project timeline, budget, resources, and risks to meet design/change control requirements.

  • You lead project teams of varying size/scale and complexity with strategic focus on the most efficient path to completion. You identify opportunities during the course of project management and seek out creative solutions that may be implemented systemically.

  • You promote a culture of project management and accountability across the team. You engage team members and sets direction in a way that delivers results and inspires others.

  • You develop detailed business plans for proposed projects and present them to the Senior Leadership Team for evaluation and approval.

What you will need:

  • You haven an advanced degree in (medical) engineering, computer science, natural sciences or in a equivalent field of studies.

  • Experience managing projects as a Project Manager in a regulated environment with proven success is preferred. To stand out you have experience in managing software projects or in software development.

  • Knowledge of medical device quality systems, manufacturing and design controls is preferred.

  • You enjoy managing, motivating and inspiring cross-functional project teams.

  • Your great communication skills in English enable you to interact easily in an innovative, international and intercultural environment.

Additional information

Thanks to our flexible working hours model, you will have the opportunity to work partially from the home office. A regular presence on site at our location in Freiburg should always be given to build sustainable relationships and maintain personal contact with colleagues as well as the departments.
