The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production equipment and machinery within our food manufacturing facility. This role plays a critical part in ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency. We are seeking a skilled mechanic to join our team and ensure our equipment and facilities operate efficiently and safely. HVAC and electrical experience is preffered. Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery, equipment, and systems, including conveyors, packaging machines, mixers, pumps, and refrigeration units.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems to identify issues and perform corrective actions.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment is functioning optimally and in compliance with safety standards.
Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and maintain a safe, efficient work environment.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Follow all food safety protocols and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) while performing maintenance duties.
Assist in installing new equipment and machinery as required.
Participate in continuous improvement projects and suggest enhancements to increase production efficiency.
The essential functions of this role include:
