Job Description
This position requires an engineer to understand best practices for station control, as well as the logic and protocols required to implement said control in a highly-functioning station. No two compressed air systems are the same, therefore the Controls Engineer must apply available best practices to each unique compressed air application. Additionally, the Product Engineer is responsible for learning and understanding the Kaeser line of control products, and acting as a point of reference for other members of the Kaeser team.
The selected candidate will:
Serve as primary point of contact for all technical sales and service support-related requests from internal teams, external sales groups, and customers.
Document quality issues, and coordinate problem resolution with product manufacturers.
Coordinate new product and development requests. Complete validation and verification procedures for new product lines.
Create content and provide training to Kaeser partners or external customers on control related topics -- whether in person via training class, via phone or via other media (such as a webinar), or through technical papers.
Be familiar with and support adherence to appropriate codes and standards as pertaining to specific product lines (for example UL, NEC, ASME, etc.)
Visit customer sites and assist local support personnel to diagnose issues with equipment and solve problems.

Qualifications & Skills
The successful candidate’s background will include:
BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or similar, equivalent experience in similar field.
High level of networking knowledge, IIoT, various communication protocols, dashboard integration, and modem configuration preferred.
Competency in reading and creating P&I diagrams and wiring diagrams.
Basic understanding of fluid dynamics and thermodynamics preferred.
Customer service experience, commercial or industrial preferred.
Goal-oriented focus, with motivation to grow long-term within the department
