Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Software Engineer to join our team to provide the United States Marine Corps advanced Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) capabilities! In this role you will provide full lifecycle software development in a team environment. In this position you will support all aspects of the system development lifecycle to include software design, development and test while working collaboratively with the engineering team to ensure high-quality software product delivery.
What You'll Be Doing:
· Develop guidelines to analyze, design, develop, and test computer software required to support hardware or technical service products.
· Review system architecture, and select and implement appropriate development and support tools to ensure product performance, as well as test and debug related software. Focus on providing our customers expertise to leverage their existing software and create new capabilities.
· Provide technical oversight and risk assessment while building new software or modifying existing software.
· Design product upgrades and improvements.
· Maintain technical documentation and ensure it is up-to-date.
· Mentor and coach junior team members to promote engineering excellence.
· Collaborate with product development, QA, and other teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:
· 5+ years of hands-on technical experience developing software
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or scientific discipline.
· U.S. citizen capable of maintaining a minimum of a SECRET Clearance.
· Ability to self-direct and self-manage workload comprised of multiple, parallel activities with little to no managerial oversight.
· Ability to collaborate within and Agile/Scrum software development process
· Experience with Windows and Linux systems.
· Experience with multiple programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, DotNET, Python, Erlang, HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery, and Ajax.
· Experience in designing, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, and documentation of software programs.
· Demonstrated ability to develop and support technical positions, to justify technical recommendations, and to write technical publications and reports
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
· Experience with Radio Frequency (RF)
· Electronic Warfare experience
· Experience developing software to communicate with hardware using TCP/IP, UDP, and serial communications
· Experience with big data or data fusion
· Experience with logical database design
· Knowledge of and experience with virtualization and containerization
· Professional Software Development Methodology Certifications
· Experience with Modeling and Simulation using Ansys System Toolkit
· Eligible for IAT Level II designation under DoD Directive 8570,8140 or successors

Salary Range:
$96,400.00 - $168,700.00
