Lead Install Technician - Commercial HVAC/R

Position Overview:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial HVAC/R Lead Install Technician to join our team. As the Lead Install Technician, you will play a crucial role in our commercial service division, taking the lead in executing commercial HVAC/R system replacements and upgrades with precision and efficiency.

The Lead Install Technician does NOT participate in the on-call rotation. Also, this position is not for new construction installations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee team members throughout the execution of commercial HVAC/R system replacements and upgrades.
  • Utilize technical skills to troubleshoot HVAC/R issues that arise during the change out process and implement effective solutions to ensure smooth installations.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Conduct quality inspections throughout the change out process to ensure work meets company standards, industry best practices, and client expectations.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and complete all necessary paperwork with company issued tablet.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and other team members.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, contributing to their professional growth and technical expertise.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent. Relevant HVAC/R certifications or vocational training in HVAC/R systems are highly desirable.
  • Proven experience as an HVAC Technician, specifically in system replacements.
  • Extensive knowledge of commercial HVAC/R systems, wiring, controls, components, and must have proficiency in brazing and soldering.
  • Universal EPA Certification required.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 85 pounds and work in various weather conditions. Must be physically fit and able to perform tasks that require bending, kneeling, and climbing.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and cooperate with teammates.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
  • Must pass a drug screen and background check.
