The Correspondent Account Executive is responsible for developing and maintaining Correspondent mortgage loan production for various loan products. Calls on potential or existing customers as assigned to develop new business or retain existing business. Acts as liaison between Sellers and loan operations to facilitate the purchase of closed loans. Perform all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates. Incumbents are outside sales associates responsible for making outside sales calls, and generating and following up on leads outside of the office and are expected and required to spend more than half of their working time outside of any office, which includes a home office.
The target pay range for this position is $43,100.00 to $65,000.00+ Monthly Incentive plan.
What you’ll do:
Contacts and sets appointments with new and existing Correspondent Accounts.
Advises Sellers of Company programs, pricing and submission policies and procedures.
Advises Sellers of any changes to Company’s policies or procedures
Assists Sellers in loan submission process.
Trains Sellers on use of available online systems for loan submissions, automated underwriting, rate sheets and loan lock procedures.
Acts as liaison with Sellers, and internal correspondent coordinator, relationship manager, underwriting, and funding to ensure timely purchase of a loan.
Manages loan pipeline to achieve departmental goals and objectives
What you'll need:
Demonstrated sales skills
Must demonstrate thorough knowledge of all aspects of correspondent loan production. Verification of past employment including income is required.
Knowledge of state and federal lending regulations
Excellent verbal, written and presentation communications skills
Excellent organizational skills with ability to adapt quickly and effectively to change
Knowledge of loan program development, mortgage program marketing materials, loan servicing and origination systems required
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
1 – 5 years of experience as a wholesale and/or correspondent account executive with multiple Sellers, investors and loan products
