Robert Half Accounting Manager in Franklin, Tennessee

Description

Our non-profit client in Franklin, TN, is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager for an INTERIM role for a few months. The work will be performed in a hybrid workplace setting, with a mix of onsite and remote work. The client is open to part time as well as full time options.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the month-end process while the current managers support an ERP implementation

• Ensuring the upkeep of accounting controls and preparation of financial statements

• Assisting with monthly close

• Posting and reviewing journal entries to revenue

• Executing month-end accruals for expenses and reviewing manual journal entries

• Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations

• Supporting multiple subsidiaries in reconciling on a monthly and quarterly basis

• Assisting with weekly check runs, which occur every Wednesday and Thursday

• Validating ERP data from Navision and reviewing AR procedures

Skills:

• Knowledge of NAV (Navision) strongly preferred and Medius AP systems helpful

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with Auditing and Billing Functions

• Ability to perform Balance Sheet Reconciliation and Bank Reconciliations

• Background in Fund Accounting - Non-Profit

• Experience with Month End Close, Expense Accruals, and Monthly Accruals

• Familiarity with recording pledges

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in the accounting field, preferably within the non-profit sector

• Experience with Great Plains Navision software

• Comprehensive understanding of all Accounting Functions

• Proven experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Knowledge of Auditing procedures and practices

• Ability to perform Billing Functions efficiently and accurately

• Experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliation and Bank Reconciliations

• Familiarity with Fund Accounting in the non-profit sector

• Ability to manage Month End Close procedures

• Experience with Monthly Accruals

• Proven ability to conduct Check Runs effectively

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field is required

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification could be helpful

• Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
