Description
We are offering an opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in Franklin, Tennessee. The role is centered around managing a backlog of business licenses and conducting relevant updates. The successful candidate will have the option to work remotely for two days and in-office for three days weekly. This is a 2 month, short-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Calling into appropriate county or city offices to transfer and update business license information.
• Accurately tracking in MS Excel the locations that have been updated and any hurdles encountered.
• Processing check payments with accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintaining updated and accurate customer records.
• Assisting in the processing of business licenses due to company acquisitions.
• Ensuring the accurate and efficient updating of business licenses.
• Collaborating with team members and other departments to ensure all business licenses are updated and valid.
• Using data entry into MS Excel to track and report on the status of business license
Requirements
• Proficiency in MS Excel is mandatory
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong numerical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
